The manufacturing process of hydraulic system oil filters involves multiple steps and the selection of key components. Below is a detailed breakdown of the production process:

I. Component Selection

Filter Media Selection

The filter media is crucial to the effectiveness of the filter element. Commonly used in hydraulic oil filters is glass fiber, which not only efficiently traps impurities in the hydraulic oil but also breaks oil pockets due to its sharpness, enabling thorough filtration. The choice of filtration precision is determined by the grade requirements that the hydraulic oil needs to meet in the hydraulic environment.

Apart from glass fiber, other materials such as plant fiber paper, stainless steel mesh, copper mesh, synthetic fiber felt, and water-absorbing filter media are also available, each with its unique characteristics, suitable for specific requirements.

End Cap Selection

End caps can be made of various materials including stainless steel, plastic, carbon steel, aluminum, etc. Selection should consider the working pressure and operating environment. Commonly used end caps include 0.8mm galvanized stampings or machined aluminum caps. For filters with bypass valves, plastic end caps with bypass valves are preferred.

Cage Selection

The cage, consisting of a support cage and a protective cage, serves to support and protect the filter media. In regular hydraulic oil applications, Q235 carbon steel perforated plates are often used for the cage, with the thickness determined by the pressure the filter element needs to withstand, typically 0.8mm. However, overly thin cages can compromise the filter's pressure resistance. Depending on the filtration medium, stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic can also be used as cage materials.

II. Processing Flow

Cutting and Cage Sizing

Cut the filter media according to the filter element's size requirements and determine the cage's dimensions and shape.

Filter Media Processing

Use machinery to pleat, trim, and seam the filter media to form the filter layer.

Assembly

Assemble the processed filter media with the cage and secure them to the end caps using epoxy resin adhesive. The adhesion of the epoxy resin is crucial for fixing the end caps and sealing the filter media seams.

Quality Inspection

After assembly, conduct quality inspections on the filter elements, including tests for filtration precision, pressure resistance, and sealing performance, to ensure they meet design specifications.

III. Precautions

When selecting filter media, end caps, and cages, comprehensively consider factors such as performance, cost, and operating environment.

Strictly control the quality of each process step during production to ensure the filter element's filtration efficiency and service life.

Choose and design the filter element's filtration precision and pressure resistance based on the actual needs of the hydraulic system.

In summary, the manufacturing process of hydraulic system oil filters is a complex and meticulous task requiring strict adherence to relevant standards and specifications.
