product-1-1

The Sub-HEPA Filter is an air filtration device with a filtration efficiency that falls between high-efficiency and medium-efficiency levels. According to national standards, the atmospheric dust counting efficiency of a sub-HEPA filter for particles with a diameter of ≥0.5μm should be ≥95% and <99.9%. This type of filter is commonly used in situations requiring higher air purification standards but does not need to meet the strict requirements of HEPA level.

Structure and Materials

  • The structure of a sub-HEPA filter typically consists of filter material, an outer frame, and sealing components. The filter material is the core component of the filter, and its material and performance directly affect the filtration efficiency and service life of the filter. Common filter materials include glass fiber paper, ultrafine polypropylene fiber paper, etc. The outer frame is used to support the filter material and maintain its stable shape, with common materials including wood, metal galvanized steel plate, etc. Sealing components are used to ensure the seal between the filter and the installation frame, preventing the bypass of unfiltered air.

Performance Parameters

The performance parameters of a sub-HEPA filter mainly include filtration efficiency, rated air volume, initial resistance, dust holding capacity, and external dimensions. Filtration efficiency is one of the important indicators for measuring filter performance and is usually evaluated by testing the interception efficiency of the filter for particles of specific sizes. Rated air volume refers to the maximum air flow that the filter can handle under normal operating conditions. Initial resistance refers to the resistance to air flow when the filter is in a newly installed state. Dust holding capacity refers to the mass of particles that the filter can accumulate before reaching the specified resistance value.
