The steps for cleaning a water filter cartridge can vary depending on the type of cartridge and the equipment, but the following provides a general guide:

Disconnect Power or Water Source:
For water treatment equipment connected to a power source, such as some advanced water purifiers, ensure that the power is disconnected first to avoid the risk of electric shock.
For equipment directly connected to a water source, ensure that the water valve is closed.
Locate the Filter Cartridge:
Refer to the user manual of the equipment to find the specific location and removal method of the filter cartridge.
Some equipment has specialized switches or locking mechanisms for the filter cartridge, which may only require simple rotation or unlocking to remove.
Remove the Filter Cartridge:
If the filter cartridge is fixed with screws, use a suitable screwdriver to loosen the screws.
If the filter cartridge is snap-fit, gently press the snap-fit area as indicated in the manual and then remove the cartridge.
Be careful during removal to avoid excessive force, which may damage the cartridge or other parts of the equipment.
Inspect the Filter Cartridge:
Before cleaning, inspect the contamination level and any damage to the filter cartridge.
If the filter cartridge is severely damaged or has reached its service life, it is recommended to replace it with a new one.
Clean the Filter Cartridge:
Rinse the filter cartridge with running water to remove surface dust and impurities.
Depending on the material of the filter cartridge and the recommendations in the manual, it may be necessary to use a mild cleanser (such as a manufacturer-recommended specialized cleaning solution, edible citric acid, or vinegar) for further cleaning.
Soak the filter cartridge in diluted cleanser for a period of time (e.g., 10-30 minutes).
Use a soft brush or toothbrush to gently scrub the surface and interior of the filter cartridge, especially the gaps and holes.
After cleaning, rinse the filter cartridge thoroughly with running water to ensure that all cleanser residue is washed away.
Air-dry the Filter Cartridge:
Place the cleaned filter cartridge in a cool, well-ventilated area to air-dry naturally.
Avoid direct sunlight on the filter cartridge to prevent aging or deformation of the material.
Ensure the filter cartridge is completely dry before proceeding to the next step to prevent mold growth.
Reinstall the Filter Cartridge:
Ensure that the interior of the equipment is free of debris and keep the environment clean.
Align the dried filter cartridge and carefully place it back in according to the removal steps.
Pay attention to the installation direction of the filter cartridge to ensure it is consistent with the removal direction.
Re-secure the filter cartridge to ensure it is stable and does not wobble.
Check Equipment Operation:
After connecting the power or water source, observe the equipment for any leaks or other abnormalities.
Run the equipment to check if it operates normally and if the filtration effect is satisfactory.
Regular Inspection and Cleaning:
Regularly inspect and clean the filter cartridge based on usage frequency and water quality.
Follow the recommendations in the manual to ensure that the maintenance and replacement cycles of the filter cartridge are adhered to.
Please note that water filter cartridges of different brands and models may differ in terms of removal and cleaning. Therefore, before performing any operations, please refer to the user manual or guide provided by the manufacturer to ensure that the cleaning of the filter cartridge is carried out correctly and safely. If the manual provides specific cleaning steps or requirements, please follow the instructions in the manual.
