How to install DRLF series large flow return oil filter

Nov 01, 2024 Leave a message

The DRLF series high-flow return oil filter is primarily installed in the return oil line of a hydraulic system. Its function is to filter out impurities such as metal powder and rubber particles produced by the wear of various components in the oil, thereby maintaining the cleanliness of the oil flowing back into the oil tank. Below is a detailed explanation of the installation and operation steps for the DRLF series high-flow return oil filter:

Installation Steps

Determine the Installation Location: Based on the layout of the hydraulic system and actual requirements, determine the installation location of the filter. Generally, the filter should be directly installed on the return oil line, with consideration for ease of subsequent maintenance and filter element replacement.

Inspect the Installation Environment: Ensure that the installation location is free of oil contamination, moisture, and impurities, and that environmental factors such as temperature and humidity meet the operational requirements of the filter.

Connect the Flange: Use a flange connection to link the filter to the return oil line. Ensure that the flange connection is tight to prevent oil leakage.

Check the Differential Pressure Transmitter and Bypass Valve: During installation, ensure that the differential pressure transmitter and bypass valve are functioning normally. The differential pressure transmitter monitors the clogging of the filter element, while the bypass valve protects the system when the filter element is clogged.

Operation Steps

Start the Hydraulic System: After confirming that the filter is installed correctly, start the hydraulic system and observe the filter's operating status.

Monitor the Differential Pressure Transmitter: During the operation of the hydraulic system, regularly monitor the indications of the differential pressure transmitter. When the filter element becomes clogged and the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet reaches 0.35 MPa, the transmitter will send a signal. At this point, promptly shut down the system and replace the filter element.

Replace the Filter Element: Turn off the hydraulic system, disassemble the filter according to the instructions, remove the old filter element, and replace it with a new one. Ensure that the model and specifications of the new filter element match those of the old one.

Restart the Hydraulic System: After replacing the filter element, restart the hydraulic system and observe the filter's operating status again. Ensure that the filter is functioning properly and there is no oil leakage.

Precautions

Select Appropriate Filter Elements: Based on the actual operational requirements of the hydraulic system, select suitable filter element models and specifications. Ensure that the filter element's filtration accuracy, oil flow capacity, and dirt holding capacity meet the system requirements.

Regular Inspections and Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the filter, including cleaning the filter element, checking the functionality of the differential pressure transmitter and bypass valve, etc. Ensure that the filter's performance and safety are always in good condition.

Observe Safe Operating Procedures: During installation and use, adhere to safe operating procedures to avoid accidents.

By following the above steps, you can correctly install and operate the DRLF series high-flow return oil filter, ensuring the normal operation of the hydraulic system and the cleanliness of the oil.
