The installation and usage precautions for high-efficiency filters are crucial for ensuring their performance and extending their service life. Below is a detailed summary of these precautions:

Installation Precautions

Cleaning the Environment:
Before installing high-efficiency filters, the clean room must be thoroughly cleaned and wiped down. If there is dust accumulation inside the purification air-conditioning system, it should also be cleaned again to meet the cleanliness requirements. If the high-efficiency filters are installed in technical mezzanines or ceilings, these areas should also be thoroughly cleaned and wiped down.

Inspection and Preparation:
High-efficiency filters should be transported and stored according to the direction indicated by the manufacturer. They should be handled with care during transportation to prevent violent vibration and collision. At the installation site, unpack and conduct a visual inspection, including checking for damage to the filter paper, sealing glue, and frame, verifying that the side lengths, diagonals, and thickness dimensions meet the requirements, inspecting the frame for burrs and rust spots (for metal frames), and confirming the presence of a product certificate of conformity and whether the technical performance meets the design requirements. For high-efficiency filters used in clean rooms with a cleanliness level of 100 or higher, leak detection should be performed before installation according to the prescribed method and meet the specified requirements.

Installation Requirements:
The installation frame for high-efficiency filters should be flat, with an allowable deviation not exceeding 1mm. When sealing between the high-efficiency filter and the frame using methods as such gaskets, adhesive tape, negative pressure sealing, liquid trough sealing, and double-ring sealing, the filling surface, the precise filter frame surface, the frame surface, and the liquid trough must be wiped clean. High-efficiency filters should be installed vertically to avoid obstructing airflow and affecting filtration efficiency. The arrow on the outer frame should align with the airflow direction. When installed vertically, the crease direction of the filter paper should be perpendicular to the ground. Select a filter of the appropriate size based on the equipment model and room dimensions, as too large or too small can affect efficiency. Use brackets or screws to securely fix the filter to prevent the filter mesh from falling off due to vibration.

Other Precautions:
Based on the specific conditions of the engineering site, the indoor air supply flow should be reasonably arranged and designed to ensure sufficient fresh return airflow to maintain the indoor positive pressure value and ensure normal ventilation and drainage without mutual interference. During construction with the civil engineering party, ensure that the sizes of all connection port locations are marked to avoid incorrect drilling of hanging plates or damage to the building structure in the future.

Usage Precautions

Regular Replacement:
Regularly replace high-efficiency filters according to the manufacturer's recommendations or actual usage, as expired filter cartridges may lose efficiency.

Avoiding Moisture:
High-efficiency filters are not moisture-resistant and should be kept dry to prevent mold growth.

Cleaning Methods:
Never wash high-efficiency filters with water. Generally, dust can be removed by gently tapping or using cleaning tools. During the replacement or cleaning process, it should be done in a dust-free environment to prevent contamination.

Usage Environment:
Avoid exposing high-efficiency filters to environments with high temperatures, high humidity, and chemical erosion, as this may affect the performance of the filter material.

Operating Norms:
Use the high-efficiency filter according to the rated voltage and frequency indicated on the filter's nameplate. Regularly maintain the filter, and cut off the equipment power supply during maintenance while avoiding water stains. If the filter is damaged, especially if the power cord is damaged, it should not be used. If the equipment encounters usage issues, do not dismantle or repair it privately. Instead, seek professional assistance.

In summary, the installation and usage of high-efficiency filters require adhering to a series of precautions to ensure their normal operation and extend their service life. During the installation process, special attention should be paid to cleaning the environment, inspection and preparation, installation requirements, and other related details. During usage, focus should be placed on regular replacement, avoiding moisture, cleaning methods, usage environment, and operating norms.
