What should I do if there is a problem with the air filter?

How much harm does unqualified air filters cause to air compressors? In modern industrial production, compressed air is increasingly widely used and playing an increasingly important role in improving production efficiency and product quality, enhancing the automation and reliability of production operations.

As a gas source, the compressed air discharged by the air compressor contains a large amount of mixed impurities such as water vapor, oil vapor, and dust. If compressed air containing these impurities is directly delivered to the compressed air usage equipment, it will bring the following adverse consequences to the entire system:

1. High pressure oil vapor accumulates in the system pipeline, forming flammable or even explosive mixtures. At the same time, the oil is vaporized at high temperature to form an organic acid, which has a corrosive effect on metal equipment.

2. Due to the deposition of a mixture of water, oil, and dust in the pipeline, the flow area of the pipeline decreases and the airflow resistance increases. In severe cases, it may even cause pipeline blockage, leading to unstable operation of the entire system.

3. In the freezing season, condensation of water vapor can cause damage to pipelines and accessories due to freezing.

4. Dust and other impurities in compressed air can have a grinding effect on components with relative motion. When wear is severe, it can cause leakage and affect equipment accuracy and service life.

5. Compressed air used for spray painting, chemistry, food, or precision component processing, if it contains moisture, oil, and impurities, can cause product pollution, decrease product quality, and in severe cases, even scrap the product, affecting the reputation of the enterprise.

6. Various injuries to the human body.

In addition to issues related to compressed air systems, allowing pollutants such as water, solid particles, and oil to be freely discharged through valves, cylinders, air motors, and tools can lead to the formation of an unhealthy production and working environment, such as productive dust, toxic gases, etc.

At the same time, there are potential issues such as product pollution, personnel injury, shortage of staff, and financial compensation, which bring health and safety harm to production personnel and product users, ultimately affecting the company's product brand benefits and reputation, causing the company to gradually lose competitiveness and market.

The use of polluted air not only has a serious impact on production equipment, personnel, products, and the surrounding environment, but also leads to additional production losses, product quality issues, and high maintenance costs. It can be inferred that selecting a qualified air filter is crucial.
