The steps for installing air compressor filters are as follows:
Preliminary preparation
Prepare required tools and materials, such as filters, screwdrivers, wrenches, elastic rings, and sealant gaskets.
Determine the installation position and layout of the filter and its accessories.
Install the air compressor outlet and gas storage tank
Install the air compressor outlet.
Connect the air storage tank to ensure that the outlet of the air compressor and the inlet of the air storage tank are kept low and high to ensure smooth air flow.
Install the primary filter
A Class C filter is installed at the outlet of the gas storage tank as a primary filter, usually with an accuracy of one micron.
Install automatic drainage device
Install an automatic drainer to remove the residual oil and water from the filter to ensure the purity of the compressed air.
Connect the cold dryer with the hose
Use wire pairs to connect the dryer and attach the hose.
Install two-stage filter and pipeline
Install two stages of filters in the subsequent pipe, first install the T filter, then install the A filter, and finally install the ball valve. These two-stage filters further purify compressed air.
Installation of gas storage tank accessories and safety devices
Install storage tank accessories, such as pressure gauges, safety valves, etc., to ensure the safe operation of the storage tank.
Install the blowdown valve (if necessary)
Install a blowdown valve as needed to periodically drain impurities and fluid from the filter.
Check and debug
Check that all connections are tight to prevent air or liquid leakage.
Debug the filter to ensure that it is working properly and check that the quality of the compressed air meets the requirements.
During the installation process, the following points should also be noted:
The filter should be installed vertically with enough space underneath for easy maintenance and drainage.
When connecting the pipe, attention should be paid to the direction to ensure that the filter element is in the correct intake and outlet state.
Avoid using excessive force to install filters or connect pipes to avoid damaging equipment.
Check the working status of the filter regularly, and replace the filter element on time according to the actual working condition.
Monitor the compressed air flow, pressure and temperature through the filter to ensure that it does not exceed its rating.
