Recently, The World Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) recently released the "Nature 2030 Alliance Plan". "Nature 2030"-an alliance in action, the plan of IUCN marks the climax of the whole alliance's deliberation for many years. At the World Conservation Congress of the World Conservation Union held in Marseilles, the "Nature 2030 Conservation Union Program" was adopted through democratic voting. Set a goal of 10 years for the first time. This is a call for the members of the alliance, the Committee and the secretariat to mobilize. This long-term vision is in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the post-2020 global biodiversity framework.
The programme defines a wide working area and sets ambitious goals and indicators to measure success. This will help the alliance bring changes to people, land, water, ocean and climate through five channels: awareness, preservation, restoration, resources and reconnect.
In the next decade, more than 1,400 countries, government agencies, members of indigenous people and non-governmental organizations, more than 15,000 scientists and networks of the World Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and a secretariat composed of hundreds of dedicated staff will work together to realize the "Nature 2030" agenda.
