The working principle of FFU (Fan Filter Unit) mainly involves three basic steps of air inhalation, filtration and emission. Here's a detailed explanation:

First, air inhalation
The FFU is equipped with one or more fans, usually centrifugal fans. When the fans are turned on, they create a strong airflow that draws air into the device by suction. In this process, the fan is the key component to drive the air flow, which ensures that the air can be continuously drawn into the FFU.

Second, air filtration
The inhaled air is first passed through the primary filter, and large particles of dust and particulates are filtered out. This stage is mainly for larger particles, in preparation for the next high efficiency filtration. The air is then passed through high-efficiency filters (such as HEPA or ULPA filters) mounted on the top or side of the FFU. These filters are designed to filter particles larger than 0.3 microns with a filtration efficiency of 99.995% or more. High efficiency filter is the core component of FFU, which determines the filtration efficiency and cleanliness level of FFU.

3. Air emissions
After two stages of filtration, most of the dust and particles in the air are filtered out, and then the clean air is sent out through the fan to provide the place that needs a clean environment. The outlet of the FFU is usually located at the bottom of the equipment to ensure that the clean air can be released evenly into the clean room. In this way, the FFU is able to continuously provide clean air to the clean room and maintain its cleanliness level.

Four, additional functions
In addition to the basic air suction, filtration, and discharge functions, the FFU has some additional functions, such as speed control switches and wiring terminals. These features allow wind speed adjustment of a single FFU or its connection to an intelligent control system for intelligent control, remote control, group control, or single control. These additional features improve the flexibility and applicability of the FFU, enabling it to better meet the needs of different cleanrooms.
