Cleaning the fan filter unit is a crucial step in ensuring its efficient operation and extending its lifespan. Below are some detailed instructions on how to clean the fan filter unit:
I. Power Off and Disassembly
Power Off: Before cleaning the fan filter unit, ensure that the device is powered off and the plug is unplugged to prevent electrical accidents.
Disassembly: Carefully disassemble the outer casing and filter of the fan filter unit according to the device's user manual or maintenance manual. During disassembly, be careful not to damage any components of the device.
II. Cleaning the Filter
Preliminary Cleaning: If the filter surface is not dirty, use clean compressed air to blow air from both sides to remove dust and particles.
Deep Cleaning: If the filter surface is dirty, it needs to be cleaned with water or a neutral detergent. Remove the filter and rinse it under a faucet with water, or soak it in warm water with a neutral detergent for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it clean with water. Note that the filter cannot be scrubbed violently or brushed, as this may damage the fibers.
Drying: Allow the cleaned filter to air dry or gently pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Avoid rubbing too hard to prevent damaging the filter.
III. Cleaning the Fan and Outer Casing
Fan Cleaning: Use a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt from the fan's inner walls and blade surfaces. If there is grease or other difficult-to-remove stains inside the fan, use a specialized cleaner for cleaning.
Outer Casing Cleaning: Use a damp cloth or neutral cleaner to wipe the outer casing of the fan filter unit to remove dust and stains.
IV. Inspection and Replacement
Inspection: During cleaning, carefully inspect the filter for damage. If the filter is deformed, damaged, or cannot be cleaned thoroughly, it should be replaced with a new one promptly.
Replacement: Install the new filter into the fan filter unit according to the device's user manual or maintenance manual. Ensure that the filter is properly installed and sealed.
V. Precautions
Safety: When cleaning the fan filter unit, ensure that the device is powered off and unplugged. Also, be cautious to prevent electrical and mechanical injuries.
Frequency: Develop a reasonable cleaning schedule based on the device's usage environment and operating time. It is generally recommended to clean the fan filter unit every 1-2 months.
Record Keeping: After each cleaning, record the cleaning time, method, and results. This helps track the device's cleaning status and promptly identify and resolve issues.
By following these steps, you can effectively clean the fan filter unit, ensuring its efficient operation and extending its lifespan. Additionally, it also helps improve air quality and protect people's health.
