The steps for installing a filter cartridge may vary depending on the type of filter, the model and brand of the water purifier, but generally, you can follow these basic steps:

I. Preparation

Turn off the water source: First, ensure that the water valve connected to the water purifier is closed to prevent water from continuing to flow into the purifier.

Prepare tools and materials: Gather a new filter cartridge, specialized filter removal tools (if provided with the water purifier), a clean cloth or paper towel, and a container or basin for collecting water from the filter.

II. Removing the Old Filter Cartridge

Drain the filter: If possible, open the drain valve or outlet of the water purifier to drain any residual water from the filter.

Remove the filter: Using a wrench or filter removal tool, follow the instructions in the water purifier manual to rotate the filter base counterclockwise and remove the old filter. Handle gently to avoid damaging other parts of the purifier.

III. Cleaning the Filter Base

Remove dirt: Clean the filter base with a clean cloth or paper towel to ensure all dirt and residue are removed. This will aid in the sealing and installation of the new filter.

IV. Installing the New Filter Cartridge

Inspect the new filter: Before installation, check that the new filter's packaging is intact and that the filter is free from damage or defects.

Install the filter: Following the instructions in the water purifier manual, correctly install the new filter onto the filter base. Typically, this involves placing the filter's O-ring (if present) in the correct position, inserting the filter vertically into the base, and rotating clockwise to secure it.

Check for tightness: After installation, ensure the filter base is tightly secured and there are no leaks. If leaks occur, remove and reinstall the filter.

V. Testing and Debugging

Turn on the water source: Once the filter is securely installed, open the water valve to allow water to flow through the purifier.

Drain initial water: Drain the initial water for about 2-3 minutes to ensure the new filter is functioning properly and to remove any potential impurities.

Check water quality: After using the water purifier, inspect the purified water to ensure it is normal. If water quality appears abnormal or the filter is not functioning correctly, promptly contact customer service.

Precautions

Follow the manual: Always adhere to the water purifier's user manual and filter installation guide when installing filters.

Protect the filter: During installation, take care to protect the filter's surface and internal structure from damage or contamination.

Regular replacement: Depending on the water purifier's usage and the filter's lifespan, replace filters regularly to ensure water safety and purification effectiveness.

The above steps are for reference only. Please follow the specific instructions for your water purifier brand and model. If you have any questions or difficulties, promptly contact the water purifier manufacturer or customer service personnel.
