II. Working Principle

During operation, the top-mounted double-cartridge return oil filter receives return oil from the hydraulic system through a return oil pipe mounted on the top of the fuel tank. The oil first enters the working filter cartridge for filtration, removing impurities and contaminants. As usage accumulates, the filter element of the working cartridge gradually clogs, causing an increase in pressure differential. When this differential reaches a preset value, the contamination and blockage sensor triggers an alarm, prompting the operator to replace the filter element.

Upon receiving the alarm, the operator opens the pressure balancing valve, rotates the directional valve to activate the standby filter cartridge, and simultaneously shuts down the working one. The operator then unscrews the plug of the working filter cartridge to drain the oil, detaches the cartridge body, and replaces the clogged filter element. After replacement, rotating the directional valve again switches the working filter cartridge back into operation, completing the filter element replacement process.
