The installation of sub-HEPA air filters requires following specific steps and precautions to ensure their filtration efficiency and service life. Below is a detailed installation guide:
I. Preparation Before Installation
Cleaning the Environment: Before installing the filter, thoroughly clean the floor, walls, and ceiling of the clean room to ensure there is no dust or oil contamination. Additionally, ensure that the installation personnel wear clean work clothes, gloves, and shoe covers to prevent the introduction of new contaminants during the installation process.
Inspecting the Filter: Check the appearance and dimensions of the filter to ensure it is not damaged or deformed, and that its size matches the pre-reserved frame in the clean room. If any damage or size discrepancy is found, promptly replace or adjust the filter.
II. Installation Steps
Positioning and Fixing: Place the filter within the pre-reserved frame, ensuring it is flat and not twisted. Use specialized fasteners or bolts to secure the filter to the frame.
Sealing: Apply specialized sealant evenly around the filter frame to ensure sealing between the filter and the frame, preventing air leakage. Press firmly to ensure the sealing effect.
Inspection and Adjustment: After installation, use specialized detection instruments to check the air volume around the filter to ensure there is no air leakage. If air leakage is found, promptly adjust the sealant or replace the filter.
III. Precautions
Avoiding Collision: During installation, avoid colliding the filter with hard objects to prevent damage to the filter material.
Cleaning and Disinfection: After installation, thoroughly clean and disinfect the clean room to ensure the cleanliness of the indoor environment.
Regular Maintenance: Regularly maintain and replace the filter to ensure its long-term stable operation. The replacement cycle of the filter may vary depending on the usage environment and frequency.
IV. Special Installation Requirements (e.g., Liquid Slot Sealing)
If installing sub-HEPA air filters using liquid slot sealing, the following points should also be noted:
Liquid Slot Preparation: Ensure that the liquid level in the liquid slot meets the design requirements, and that there are no sealant leaks at the seams of the frame.
Filter Installation: During installation, avoid contact between the filter blade holder and the slot wall to prevent the formation of leakage boundaries. Insert the blade holder gently into the liquid slot for sealing to ensure the sealing effect.
Sealant Liquid Handling: Warm the sealant liquid to an appropriate temperature using a water bath and quickly inject it into the slot to reach the design depth. After the sealant liquid condenses, the high-efficiency filter can be installed.
