The installation of partitioned high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters requires following specific steps and precautions to ensure correct installation and optimal performance. Below is a detailed installation guide:
I. Preparation Before Installation
Confirm Installation Conditions:
Ensure that the temperature, humidity, air volume, and other conditions in the dust-free workshop or clean room meet the operational requirements of the HEPA filter.
Check whether the installation location is flat and stable to ensure the filter can be installed horizontally.
Inspect the Filter:
Before unpacking, carefully check the outer packaging for any deformation or damage. If found, take photos, record them, and promptly contact the supplier for handling.
After unpacking the inner packaging, carefully inspect the product's appearance to confirm that there is no physical damage, deformation, and that all accessories are complete.
Prepare Installation Tools:
Prepare the required installation tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, sealant, etc.
II. Installation Steps
Locate the Installation Position:
Determine the installation position of the HEPA filter according to the design drawings or site conditions.
Use a marking pen or measuring tool to mark the installation position on the wall or ceiling.
Install the Frame:
Install the corresponding frame according to the size of the HEPA filter.
Ensure that the frame is installed flat, stable, and tightly fits the installation position.
Place the Filter:
Gently place the HEPA filter into the frame, taking care to avoid collision and twisting of the filter.
Ensure that the filter element's direction is correct and aligns with the airflow direction.
Secure the Filter:
Use screws or other fasteners to secure the filter to the frame.
When securing, tighten diagonally to prevent torque from damaging the filter element.
Seal the Gap:
Use sealant or gaskets to seal the gap between the filter and the frame.
Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leakage.
III. Post-Installation Inspection
Inspect Installation Quality:
Check whether the filter is installed flat and stable.
Verify that the sealing is tight and there are no leakage phenomena.
Test Performance:
Turn on the air conditioning system to test the performance of the HEPA filter.
Observe the pressure difference before and after the filter to ensure it is within the normal range.
Record Information:
Record the installation date, model, specifications, and other information of the HEPA filter.
Save relevant documents and records for future reference.
IV. Precautions
Avoid Contamination:
During installation, wear gloves and masks to avoid contaminating the filter.
Do not touch the filter element with bare hands.
Handle with Care:
During handling and installation, handle with care to avoid collision and twisting of the filter.
Regular Inspection:
Regularly inspect and maintain the HEPA filter to ensure its proper operation.
If the filter is found to be clogged or its performance has declined, replace it promptly.
By following these steps and precautions, you can ensure that the partitioned HEPA filter is installed correctly and operates at its best performance.
