Installation and Usage
The backwash blowdown filter should be installed horizontally or vertically. When installed vertically, the water flow direction must be from top to bottom. During installation, ensure that the arrow direction on the housing is consistent with the water flow direction. Under normal operation, the flow control valve remains open. When blowdown is required, close the flow control valve and open the blowdown valve until the discharged water becomes clear. Then close the blowdown valve and reopen the flow control valve to complete the blowdown process, and the equipment will resume normal operation.
Working Principle
The automatic blowdown filter mainly consists of a high-quality carbon steel cylinder, a specially structured stainless steel wedge wire screen, an electric actuator, and a blowdown device. When the filter is in operation, the electric actuator keeps the butterfly valve open. Water flows into the filter from the inlet, passes through the screen for filtration, and then exits from the outlet. When blowdown is needed, close the butterfly valve and open the electric blowdown valve. Water is filtered through the first half of the screen: part of the filtered water flows into the system from the outlet, while the remaining water flows from the outside to the inside of the second half of the screen and is discharged through the blowdown port, achieving automatic backwashing of the screen. This entire flushing process allows the system to operate normally without shutdown.
