The manufacturing principle of bag air filters primarily rests on its structural design and fluid filtration mechanism. Below is a detailed elaboration on the principles behind the bag air filter:

I. Structural Design

Bag air filters typically consist of the following main components:

Filter Housing: Acts as the supporting structure for the entire filter, protecting internal components and maintaining the fluid flow path.

Filter Bags: Made from specific filtration materials such as polyester, polypropylene, nylon, PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), etc., these materials possess tiny pores that can intercept impurities, particles, and other substances within the fluid. The filter bags are the core component, and their material and structural design determine the filter's precision and performance.

Inlet and Outlet Pipes: Respectively used for the entry and exit of fluids, ensuring that fluids flow through the filter interior along a predetermined path.

Support Basket: Holds the filter bags in place, maintaining their shape and filtration area, and preventing deformation or damage during the filtration process.

II. Filtration Mechanism

The filtration mechanism of bag air filters relies primarily on the intercepting action of the filter bags:

Feed: Dust-laden air enters the filter housing interior through the inlet pipe.

Filtration: Under pressure, the dust-laden air passes through the filter bags. The tiny pores in the filter bags allow clean air to pass through while intercepting and collecting solid particles, dust, and other impurities larger than the pore size. These impurities are trapped on the outer surface or within the filter bags, achieving the separation of air and impurities.

Discharge: The cleaned air after passing through the filter bags exits through the outlet pipe, achieving the purpose of purification.

III. Maintenance Mechanism

As filtration time elapses, impurities accumulate on the filter bags, gradually increasing filtration resistance and affecting filtration efficiency. Therefore, bag air filters are typically equipped with mechanisms for cleaning or replacing the filter bags:

Cleaning: When impurities accumulate to a certain extent on the filter bags, they can be cleaned through methods such as pulse-jet cleaning, water washing, or mechanical cleaning. The pulse-jet system utilizes periodic blasts of high-pressure air to vibrate and dislodge dust from the filter bag surface, restoring the filter's performance.

Replacement: For filter bags that cannot be effectively cleaned or are severely damaged, timely replacement is necessary to ensure the filter's continuous operation and filtration effectiveness.

In summary, the manufacturing principle of bag air filters achieves the purification of dust-laden air through its specific structural design and fluid filtration mechanism. Additionally, maintenance mechanisms such as cleaning and replacing filter bags contribute to maintaining the filter's long-term stable operation and high-efficiency filtration performance.
